A Gilded Locré-Russinger La Courtille Hand Painted Porcelain Plate with Fruit, Flowers and Ribbons circa 1800c Paris. Available from Waldron & Plotkin Collectables
Hard-paste porcelain factory founded in 1772 by Jean-Baptiste Locré in an area of Paris called La Courtille. Locré was joined by Laurent Russinger in December of the same year. By 1773 the factory had registered its mark of two crossed arrows with the lieutenant general of the Paris police. In 1787 Locré sold the company to Russinger. After teaching the trade to his successors, the Pouyat brothers, Russinger retired in 1808.
Not 100% sure what to say about this plate except it is made from the finest porcelain. Yes the gilding is worn in places, but so would you be if you were approx 200 plus years old. It has taken me 15 years plus to find whose mark it is as it is very similar to Meissen, although it has been in the family for a lot longer.
I haven't put a price as I haven't a clue - so will see if I get any interest in it before I research it any further. Or mayhap make me an offer I can't refuse.
Please take a good look at the pictures as they form part of the description, and bear in mind that it is definately second hand so will not be perfect. If you have any questions, like to see more photos or come and see it, then please don't hesitate to get in touch. Please see the InfoTab below.

Born from the vision of two people, two worlds, two cultures in the 1950s, so I am taking their vision and running with it. I have this website and premises so thought 'why not?'
Antique, Old, Traditional, Aged, Vintage, Dated, Period, Historical, Retro, Pre-loved - they are all words to describe what? Nowadays too many items are defined as something they're not, so as we were told if you find something you like or mayhap even love, then buy it. Your choice - it's too late when they’re gone.
Please browse this part of my website, but note I have so much more at my premises, if you would like to visit then please do not hesitate to Contact Becci.
Most items in this section are pre-loved so will have some wear in one form or another. Many have never been used ‘new’ but I have had them a while. All the items and their conditions have been described as accurately as possible. The photographs are part of those descriptions.
Please keep coming back as most of the items are from my own family collections and I have so much which needs to be parted with. it will take a while for me to put them all on here. Why not come and see them?
I am open to sensible offers.
